Red Ribbon Week
This week is Red Ribbon Week to raise awareness of drug prevention.

By participating in the events that take place during Red Ribbon Week, young people are sending the message that they promise to remain drug free!

Stafford Intermediate is participating by wearing something different each day of the week:

Monday, 10/26: Wear a red shirt
Tuesday, 10/27: Wear a hat
Wednesday, 10/28: Wear a team jersey
Thursday, 10/29: Wear pajamas
Friday, 10/30: Wear camouflage attire
Red Ribbon Week Kickoff: Monday, 10/26
High School cheerleaders came to the Intermediate School on Monday to help us kick off Red Ribbon Week with enthusiasm!
Monday, October 26, 2009: "Pledge to Be Drug Free"
-Kick off ceremony in the gymnasium
-Students and staff wore red shirts
-Students will sign pledge cards
-Door Decorating Contest begins
Tuesday, October 27, 2009: "Hats off to Drugs"
-Students and staff wore hats.
STATIC- Stafford Teens Against Tobacco in Children
Mrs. Price and high school choir students, also involved in STATIC, presented a skit to the Intermediate students on Tuesday to communicate a very important "no smoking" message.
Wednesday, October 28, 2009: "We Can Team Up Against Drugs"
-Students and staff brought 5 canned goods to wear jeans.
-Students and staff wore their favorite athletic team jersey or T-shirt.
Thursday, October 29, 2009: "Follow Your Dreams, Don't Slip Up, Stay Drug Free"
-Students and staff wear bedroom slippers, not flip flops.
-Students and staff wear pajamas.
Student Council represents the school well in their pajamas and slippers in front of the Intermediate School's collection of canned food during Red Ribbon Week.
Friday, October 30, 2009: "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Be a Hero Every Day..."
AND JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS"

-Students will wear camouflage attire.
-Winners of the Door Decorating Contest will be announced.
Grand Prize winners during Red Ribbon Week with Ms. James and Mrs. Jackson in their "camo" attire to "be a hero" and "fight against drugs".

Tops
*solid red, white, blue
*collared (polo-style) shirt
*undershirt must be white OR same color of shirt
*jacket must be a solid color (red, white or blue) with NO lettering (except for "Stafford")

Bottoms
*khaki-colored or navy blue
*dress slacks/pants
*skirts or shorts below fingertips
*if pants/skirts/shorts have belt loops, a belt should be worn

NOT ALLOWED:
*black
*jeans
*screen-printed T-shirt as undershirt
*"hoodie" sweatshirts (unless hood is tucked inside sweatshirt)
*leggings
*cargo pockets on pants
