The SEAL Academy was established during the Spring and Summer of 2007 and the first course taught in Fall 2007.
The SEAL Academy emphasis is on preparing students to enter the field of engineering at the college level. We have adopted a curriculum called Project Lead The Way (PLTW) to help us accomplish that goal. There are four courses planned for the engineering academy. They are as follows:
1. Introduction to Engineering Design (IED)(9th grade)
2. Principles of Engineering (POE)(10th grade)
3. Digital Electronics (DE)(11th grade)
4. Engineering Design and Development (EDD)(12th grade)
In their senior year a student may also be placed in an internship if they meet specific requirements.
