Well, we have almost made it through our second six weeks!

We are studying the founding of the 13 Colonies in Social Studies.
In Reading, we are practicing "10 Reading Strategies." We will begin a new novel study the first week of November on The Sign of the Beaver. We only have a class set of books, but if you want your child to be able to reread or preread at home, please look for their own copy now in nearby book stores. The author is Elizabeth Speare.

Please join the new Stafford Intermediate PTO---I did!
Volunteer for some of the committees and help us with the fundraisers--it's all for the students and the school!

Please monitor your student's homework folder to see what they are writing down for homework--compare it to our lesson plans on the "download" link. Remind them to do it, and check it over with them. Let them know that we are partners in their education.
