My name is Danny McDonald; I graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelors degree in Food and Nutrition. I started working in the child nutrition program in 1999 and have been a director for 11 years. Prior to 1999 I worked as a Food and Nutrition director in healthcare for 17 years. I am a member of Texas School Nutrition Association and School Nutrition Association. I have been happily married for 18 years and have 2 wonderful daughters and 4 loving grandsons.
It is an honor to serve and be a part of the Stafford MSD community. I am very passionate about child nutrition and I am committed in providing great customer service and nutritious, tasty foods to our students and staff.
My name is Michelle Hayes, and I am a native to Houston. I spent most of my childhood in the North Shore area. I married my high school sweetheart and have three wonderful children. I have worked in child nutrition for seven years. I started in Pflugerville, Texas and moved to Stafford almost two years ago. I love this career because nutrition in the schools affect my children as much as it does the students at Stafford MSD. The quality of food is important to the balance of their growth and education. I am especially happy to be working for the Stafford Municipal School District.
Pat Briones, Fuel Cafe Manager and High School Manager
My name is Pat Briones, and I am the Fuel Cafe manager for Stafford Middle and Stafford Primary Schools, as well as Stafford High School. I started working in child nutrition in 1991. I took a break in 2006 for 2 years and moved to Utah with my family, where I worked as a caretaker in a hospital for physically and mentally challenged individuals. I moved back to Texas in 2008 and returned to the profession that I love, school food service. I have been with Stafford MSD for 5 months and am excited to be part of this family.
My name is Thelma Garza and I am the Fuel Cafe manager at Stafford Elementary School. I have worked with the Stafford MSD Child Nutrition department for 13 years and was the manager of the Intermediate School for 9 years. I have five beautiful children and six adorable grandchildren and I enjoy spending time with.
