WELCOME! I am looking forward to a wonderful year. My name is Mary Lou Cantu. I am beginning my twenty-seven year of teaching (all in Stafford). I teach fifth grade bilingual. I am self contain so I teach all subjects.

I went to the University of Houston part of the time and received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Learning Disabilities, Bilingual/ESL and Spanish from TSU.

This summer (09), I had two addition to my family. Five days apart, I became a grandmother for the sixth time and also a great- grand mother.

I have three children of my own, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I no longer have my dog (a Shih-tzu) for I gave it to my niece.

In my spare time, I enjoy bowling, relaxing, and spending time with my family and friends.
