Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Kristi Beachum. This is my fourth year with Stafford. I have been teaching sixth grade at the Intermediate School for the past three years. I have also taught in Michigan and Kansas. My experience includes 3rd grade, 4th grade, as well as bilingual preschool.
I was born and raised in Western Michigan, where most of my family still lives. I usually get the opportunity to visit about twice a year. I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, running, traveling, and playing with my dog.
I earned my B.A. from Hope College in Holland, MI in Elementary Education, majoring in Language Arts and minoring in Spanish. Most recently (Dec. '08), I earned my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading from Grand Canyon University.
I teach the following subjects:
READING
LANGUAGE (ELA)
SOCIAL STUDIES
My co-teaching partner is Mrs. Ezenwukwa. Ms."E", as we affectionately call her, also co-teaches with Ms. Duplessis, so she divides her time between our two classrooms, as well as provides Resource pullout services.

As we embark on our second year working together, the three of us have many exciting changes to implement this year... we are looking forward to including our new students in the adventure and can't wait to get to know each one of them even better!
